Frankfurt Book Fair 2026, Germany

Dear Readers,
In the meantime, regardless of the arrival of fall, an incredible amount has happened for me:
I’ve been making final revisions for the publication of my next book. It will be published in German language and will be titled:
“Gaining Momentum …and Moving Forward with Courage and Strength
News from My Life’s Journey with a Wheelchair and Handbike”
I’m supposed to receive the first proof copy in the next few days. I’m really looking forward to it!
Then, on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, I went to the 2026 Book Fair in Frankfurt, Germany, with my girlfriend. It was a very eventful day.
The fair is incredible, so we focused mainly on the U.S. Pavilion.
My book “Forward—Giving Up Is Not an Option” was supposed to be here. Amid this incredible abundance of books, we actually found it at the “Combined Book Exhibit (CBE)” booth. It was a little hidden at first, but I had another book with me, and by the end of our visit, two books were prominently displayed on the shelf. We had a wonderful conversation. At that booth, we were also directed to the “Author Solution” booth. There was a very nice gentleman with whom we spoke at great length. He remembered my book from the fair in Miami. I was very happy about that. Here, too, when we left the booth, my book was right in the middle and clearly visible.
The wonderful thing was that at both booths, the gentlemen formed a direct connection with me and the book.
They’ll surely tell their prospective clients about this over the next few days of the fair.
I was also able to visit other publishers’ booths that had granted me permission to reprint quotes from my books.
Since the fair was very large and featured a diverse array of participants from all over the world, you could hear an endless variety of languages all at once.
Now I’m primarily focused on translating my new book into English.
I hope it will be published by Balboa Press next year.
