Dear readers!
For the past 10 days, I have been staying at the HGZ (Heart and Vascular Center) in Bad Bevensen, Germany, very close to my hometown.
I ended up there quite unexpectedly. In the morning, I had actually planned to drive to Lüneburg for training. But that didn’t happen because I wasn’t feeling well.
In the evening, I suddenly found myself in an ambulance on the way to the HGZ. The wound on my toe had become so badly infected that my inflammation levels were very high and my foot and lower leg were surprisingly red and warm. I was then given a strong course of antibiotics. After 10 days, I was feeling better and able to go home.
Now I am very grateful that I was treated so well here at the clinic in two ways: medically with the appropriate antibiotics and with daily care, such as personal hygiene and meals, which I received vegan. Everything together was excellent. I am totally grateful for this. I also expressed this to the doctors and nurses. This gave me another opportunity to reflect on gratitude.
I wasn’t always like this; I used to take everything for granted. I never gave my body any thought, assuming it was healthy and could do whatever I wanted. I worked, pushing my body to its limits and never thanking it. When MS prevented me from doing everything as I was used to, I realized how grateful we can be when we can move and care for ourselves properly and well.
Isn’t it wonderful when we can thank our bodies, our beings, and also the people who do good for us? To show them our gratitude. We can also spiritually thank the creator of all that is, that we are here on Earth and can experience so much love.
Gratitude is a high positive energy that sends good vibrations into our bodies and our environment.
I would like to end here, and I would be delighted if my thoughts have provided a little inspiration for your own life.
With warm regards, Eugen
